why do I have Wood Rot?
1. Water leaks
2. splash back from porches and patios
3. Poor ventilation
4. Exposed wood and not properly sealed and painted.
How to prevent it?
1. Improve ventilation: use fans and open windows to reduce indoor quality.
2. Seal and paint wood: use quality paint regularly to protect the wood.
3. Check for leaks: fix any plumbing or roof leaks properly.
4. Improve drainage: clear and clean gutters, and ensure water flows away from your foundation.
How we fix it?
1. We will cut out all the exposed wood and check the walls of the interior.
2. We will inspect the interior walls which are primarily 2x4s.
3. We will replace the rotted wood with new wood.
4. We will paint and seal everything properly.
5. We will ensure you keep your windows and doors for year to come.
** Sometimes it is recommended to get a new door but we do understand everybody has different circumstances and maybe sentimental value for their home.
